Vind-Vind strives to make wind simulations in digital planning of construction projects easier. Our main goal is to provide the tools our customers need to carry out the wind simulations they need for challenging construction projects. And we want them to be able to do it early on, and on an ongoing, iterative basis. We do this by providing an alternative method to traditional wind tunnel simulation. Our simulation method is based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations. It allows entrepreneurs, architects and engineers that are already using digital Building information Modeling (BIM) to easily integrate wind simulations into their existing workflow.
Vind-Vind is already among the Danish leaders in wind comfort simulations using CFD calculations. But we want to take things even further. The last two years we have been working together with Danish Technological University on a project to validate CFD simulation of wind loads on struchtures. The validating project shows that our methods using CFD are comparable with Wind Tunnel Tests.
Our work is based on a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in managing and completing complex construction projects successfully Our simulation methods are the result of the combined efforts of the company’s partners, Leika and Per. Leika has more than a decade’s worth of experience in project management and coordination in the construction industry and Per has been working on finding computational solutions for simulation and calculation problems in the realm between difficult and impossible for the last 20 years.
